Trains young people for active participation in church and society; develops tools for civic and moral education; identifies common challenges and interests.

Mission and mandate
- Channel the efforts of young Christians towards spiritual renewal and attachment to the Word of God, so that they take an active part in the development of the Church and the nation.
- Help the young people of the member churches pursue their concerns through the Word of God lived out in daily life.
- Create, develop and sustain collaboration, solidarity, sharing and fellowship between the Christian youth movements of the member churches — and those the department recognises — so that the Gospel reaches the young people of Cameroon effectively.
- Train young people to take an effective part in the life of the Church and of society.
- Develop tools for citizenship and integrity education for young people, and identify their shared problems and interests.
